Mike Stewart was born in Connecticut on the east coast of the U.S.
He studied at the Hartford Art School, a department of the University of Hartford
and the Lamar Dodd School of Art in Cortona, Italy
.He received his B.F.A. in fine art printmaking
with a minor in English in 1999.
Mike has been teaching English and fine art courses in South Korea since 2003.
He is a member of the International Artists Community and is represented by the Myeongdong Gallery as a house artist. In 2010 Mike formed the art program "Sketch and the City," a plein air painting course that has developed to include other drawing and painting from life events throughout Seoul.
