Mike Stewart was born in Connecticut on the east coast of the U.S.
He studied at the Hartford Art School, a department of the University of Hartford
and the Lamar Dodd School of Art in Cortona, Italy.
He received his B.F.A. in fine art printmaking
with a minor in English in 1999.
Mike has been living in South Korea since 2003. He is a member of the Seoul based group "International Artists Community" and in 2010 formed the art program "Sketch and the City," a plein air painting course that has developed to include other drawing and painting from life events throughout Seoul. In 2012 Mike opened Seoul's first foreign owned and operated art academy/share studio, Jankura Artspace.
